On Maryhill Road last night (Wednesday) round about 18.15 going out to a meeting/get together, I was cycling along with several cyclists in front of me (not difficult when riding Sir Sqeaky Bike Of The Dump), when suddenly in the road I saw a rear light that had obviously fallen off someone's bike, and was lying in bits, but still flashing.
Unfortunately I didn't see it in time and CRUNCH!
I presume it wasn't working after THAT!
If that was anyone on here, sorry!
Anyway, later on when it was dark, I was idly cycling home through a housing estate when a car shot out of a side road and turned right in front of me. It was at a narrow bit of the road and the woman driving did stop sharpish and was looking to see if I had enough space to pass (we were on opposite sides of a speed bump, so she had to slow down anyway).
To be fair, I wasn't too bothered about it at the time as I would just about have had enough space to get past anyway and she seemed concerned, but, hopefully the woman will think next time before she just pulls out without obviously looking, as had I been a few feet further on she might have hit me!!
She didn't even indicate either, she just turned as if it wasn't a junction, there potentially wasn't any traffic coming and as if I wasn't there.
Ah well, time to invest in a camera methinks.
