Orbea Diem.....any thoughts on this bike/spec please

I am thinking of this bike for general road/tow path use. It is 2013 model with approx £500 discount. I can't find any reviews on it so have some specific questions (I am not technical in any way).
The store is 12 miles from where I live and I have not been to see it yet........I want to be for-warned

1. The frame........I am pretty sure it's carbon but does anyone know if it is good quality ?
2. The whole gears set up..........XT Shadow & Hg81...........are they any good ?
3. The wheel set.........means nothing to me........any advice on that ?
And any other thoughts appreciated
