I'm finding that I'm often pushing the limit of my Topeak MTX system when visiting other sites (capacity and weight). It's fine for most days, part filled, but it's getting over loaded some times.

I feel the Back Rollers would be too big at 40l, but the fronts (can be used on the rear) are 25l.

There are some great prices - down to £58 for the classics, or closer to £50 for the City.

The only difference is the Classic has a shoulder strap/fastening system, whilst the City needs two clips to fasten.

Anyone using them - given I'm likely to need to carry the panniers, the shoulder strap system should be easier.

Downside I can see is that I've got two magicshine rears that will need re-mounting somewhere - it would free up the seatpost for visibility, but they aren't quick release - they are currently on a homebrew 'post' on my MTX Pannier - so are straight off the bike no fiddling.

Anything I've missed ?

Oh colour, plain black, or the red/black to match the bike :becool:

I have some of the front Cities, excellent for the money.

I too now have an MTX system which is in use most of the time, I generally only use one of the Ortlieb's in conjunction with the MTX when taking in a weeks supply of clothing to work. Rear lights can be mounted to the loops on the panniers but not sure how you would sort the magicshine on those....

I am the master of 'professional' bodging ! If the loops will take a Light (e.g. any clip in one like Smart etc), I'll get it to fit. ;) My Magicshines are mounted to a 25mm piece of tubing, which is subsequently zip tied to the light loop on the MTX pannier - Looks great.

Where are the Loops exactly. ?

Loops are part of the assembly that you 'click' the buckle into on each side of the pannier, my smart & cateye clips go on there no problem

Great - just checked the Ortlieb 360 view and the City's look better for clipping some lights on, due to the buckle. The Classics don't look like you can. Hmm purchase may be in order soon. Thanks !!!
