Load of crap. It won't be 'Made to measure' You send them your measurements, they take a suit off the peg, adjust it a little and there you go. Many stores do this and lable it as 'made to measure'

A true 'bespoke' as apposed to 'made to measure' suit will cost you thousands.

My dad got one a couple of years ago. It looked hideously dated but that could have been his own fault - I'd rather just get one off the shelf and take the sleeves/hem up or just go the whole hog and spend out on a decent local tailor.

Its a rush job apparently and looks it, remember a piece in one of the Sundays were the journo went off and had one made. For the same money I would sooner pay for a decent name off the peg suit. Next do a classic range these days which has some very smart suits otherwise Jeff Banks at Debenhams or if you want to pay more Hugo Boss are very nice.

Unless you are a weird shape, you will find a suit to fit well. If you want one that looks and wears nice then you usually get what you pay for. A £700 Paul Smith Suit is going to look and feel far nicer than a £50 Primark job. Obviously, some people only want to spend £50. That's fine, but you will look like a bag of shite.

I came across these chaps 3 years ago and went for a fitting in a hotel. Me and my mate thought it would be hip for us to get a couple of tailored suits. Fairly pleasant service but very very businesslike and it was all over in 5 minutes. It was £300 for a 2-piece in the most inexpensive fabric, which turned out to be a little heavier and cheaper-looking than I'd wished for. The cut of the suit was too generous for me, despite me stressing that I wanted a slim silhouette. It was a bit difficult to get your point across in that hotel room when they obviously want to get you in and out, and they were probably not as personal as a tailor should be. The big problem with such a tailor was waiting for them to return to Manchester 3 months later, getting a fitting for the alteration, then waiting again a month of so for the suit to come back. Even then it wasn't that great, a bit too long in the jacket- as I'd mentioned to them, only to be told that it was 'perfect' and feeling too pressured to argue. So I'd say don't do it. I have two off-the-peg suits from H&M costing £45 each which are much better in fabric and fit than my £300 Raja suit. If you want a tailored suit I'd suggest a tailor with a premises nearby where you can go for repeated fittings and check the progress of your suit. If you do use Raja, be specific and direct about what you want and don't be swayed into getting any old fit or fabric. And be prepared to go back on a couple of visits, so give yourself plenty of time.

I get all my suits from ebay. If you know your size and have a local tailor to take in or let out the legs you can get some fantastic bargains (most dry cleaner will do simple work such as this as well). People often buy a really expensive suit for a one off occasion then put on/lose weight so the suit no longer fits. Recent purchases include an Armani Collezioni suit for £90 and a Ralph Lauren one for £55.

I use Raja as I can't buy off the peg suits (38 inch inside leg). I find that their service is very good, the suits are good too although I'd stay away from their cheapest fabric. The cut etc is perfect as I'd expect it to be, I think I was with them for around 30 mins being measured and discussing the various fabrics and styles. Everything was covered from do you want turnups to do you prefer your shirt cuffs to show.

Seriously can't fault them. The only disconcerting thing is that I'm 44 years old and have a name tag in my suit as I can't be bothered to remove it

I had one made in Hong Kong in 1997 for £150
It was the mutts nuts.
Pity I got rather larger and had to get rid of it.

Not necessarily. There is a tailor on my local parade and him and his son make it all on the premises.
I had some trousers made there a few years ago for £70. My choice of fabric and they fitted me perfectly ( as they should of course).
Last time I looked it was something around £350 to make up a suit plus the fabric.
Unsurprisingly he is always busy.
