You know I did, and it has. I've got to say it is much nicer (but then again, I was there during the '70s, hardly a booming time for the city), and I will be honest and say I don't miss the egg box at all. I don't know if it was controversial, but I thought the sculpture outside the train station was really nice, and a very impressive sight as soon as you got outside. I didn't take the super tram but a bus from the centre out to Hillsborough -but that was due to being with my next door neighbour from the States and he wanted to go on a double decker bus -though we ended up on a single decker anyway.
I knew I was getting old when I went to see where I used to hang out as a kid -a place called Wadsley Common up the road from Hillsborough. Back in the day ("it were all fields it were") I recall it as rolling hillocks of heather and sandy soil and was absolutely flabbergasted to see all (big!) trees there now -it really took my breath away. And of course, everything was much smaller and distances had shrunk from how I recollect it as a kid.
God, I'm sounding old.
