As long as I breathe, I attack.
Cracked tooth so even a mixture of coedine, ibropufen and oragel only just took the edge off for an hour or so then 3 hours of agony till the next dose.

Rang 111 last night and they just told me to phone my dentist in the morning , took the day off work as the pain was so bad i was in tears at times .
One drill and temporary filling later my tooth is sore but at least i can eat again.

Adding tamezapam and vodka would have made for a great night.

Cracked, you wimp:headshake:

I broke mine yesterday and now the dentist is about to take his family on an all singing all dancing exotic winter holiday thanks to an orange pip of all things.
NVM i had to have all my wisdom teeth surgically removed as they were growing in horizontally causing other teeth to abscess as well , now that was a fun time.

I have had mine removed too but the dentist did them. He did a grand job however after he did the first one, and i felt no pain and all was well, he told me he had had to break it in two and then went into rather too much detail. It was only at this point did i feel unwell.

Got to go back for my broken tooth on Wednesday.

Repeat after me, my dentist is a lovely man a really really lovely man

Nope nope I can tell you the worst pain ever ever, even worse than childbirth and I am a Mother of 2 and one of those labours was 7 days long is....

You are on a rather stormy sea and managed to knock your front tooth out, a quick thinking crew mate shoves it back in quickly and it "takes" so no loss of tooth, for ages you have lots of antibiotics as you have almost constant abscess above your two front teeth, so dentist says off to hospital with you.

They slit your gums along the front from dog tooth to dog tooth cleaning out all the nastyness and then stitch it back up, you are collected whilst slightly out of it by your mother and the nurse says to said mother here is a prescription for pain killers, do not wait to fill it. Buy a bottle of water in the hospital shop and get the prescription filled in the hospital pharmacy then force her to take them before you leave the hospital. If you wait you will have her screaming in pain and writhing in agony. She was not kidding that is the most pain I have ever been in ever and if someone had offered to shoot me in that period of healing I would have probably accepted it. I was told it is known as a dental appendectomy. You do not ever ever want one of those.

Holy crap
Puts my small amount of irritation into perspective.
I just feel a bit numbed and everything tastes of cloves...

Must be something in the air...
The other week I was eating a hobnob (the best of biscuits... I felt betrayed) and I felt what I can only describe as a bit of sticky-uppy oatiness in my narrow gum-tooth space, (all techincal terms, don't look them up) similar to when you might get a bit of popcorn stuck there.
Anyhow I tried to fetch it out with a fingernail, only for half my premolar to come tumbling out.
This was in the middle of the motorway after a night shift and to say I felt like world was ending is no understatement.
Anyhow my local dentist was top notch and I can eat again. Thankfully it didn't break near a nerve so I wasn't it pain. Still, it was blooming scary and I didn't want to look like Cletus the slack jawed yokel!!

Syimpathys mate. i chipped mine while playing with the dog. couldnt breath thru mouth for days without crazy pain
Cheers, thats the biggest issue atm, even with a temporary filling and pain killers riding the bike home from work today bought me to tears with the pain which i can only assume was caused by the rush of cool air .
Luckily ? i am off work for the next 2 days on a pre arranged break so at least it will get a chance to rest , all i have to avoid is the stomach bug that the rest of the family have .......

try that sensodine rapid relief stuff, it coats the nerves and helps with the pain, (atleast it does for me when eating ice cream:smile:)
