I think vinegar is a good solution to wasp stings, at least it was when I got stung about 10 years, didn't hurt at all.

yes, vinegar. Also good for nettle sting I'm told. When on tour or out for the day I carry a couple of little sachets of it (the sort you get in pubs) in my little first aid kit...

For Bees on the other hand, you need ammonia. So I guess that's wee....

Remember, a for b, v for w.

Sadly not. Pretty sure fresh wee is acidic - ureaic acid, water and 'impurities', especially if you've been eating aparagus...

Stale wee then? Isn't there ammonia in there somewhere?

Or just don't get stung by a bee.

It's definately vingar for wasps. And chips. Except not for me, I like mine plain, or with ketchup. Chips, that is, not wasps.

Stale wee, yes, but you'd be better off with bicarb. Unless you happen to carry stale wee around with you as well...

Er... no. Bicarb, that wouldn't be hard to carry, use an old film canister...

As long as no-one searched you and thought it was drugs...

Winegar for wasps; bicarbonate for bees.

If you had happened to have a syringe in the house you could have stuck the nozzle over the puncture hole and sucked out the venom, as I did last summer when my 8 y.o. son got stung. I've never seen a child go from distressed to happy in a so few seconds.

Wasp... Smite them at every opportunity, nasty bastards.
Bees should be loved.

Despite my early season prediction for a waspy year, there seem relatively few around... thank god.

It's bad enough being stung by a wasp, but to be stung by your son's friend's mum as well is terrible luck.
