You, about 5'10” a bit squat, me 6, 1” well built. You were wearing a full red & black Team BMC ensemble, and very nice it looked too, I was wearing a Ramones t-shirt and blue Adidas swimming shorts. You were riding (if I am not mistaken) a new Ribble Sportive Bianco, me, a 2006 Dawes Discovery 501 (matt black & mud, one pannier with shopping, just collected from Sainsbury's). You passed me just as I was finishing my second pint outside the Albion, I couldn't help it, you looked slow for a bloke in a BMC kit & new bike........... our eyes met half a mile later as I passed you on the apex, and I was gone, then left into Town Lane before you could react. Sorry.
