Ow. Bloody Ninjas!

I came off my bike on the way home tonight - cycling along the road and just about to go into a cycle lane and two lads, dressed totally in black with black helmets on black BMX's (no lights obviously!) jump off the pavement where they were riding onto the cycle lane straight in front of me. I grab a handful of brake try to miss them taking myself out in the process. Didn't half sting! I got back on and finished my ride but now i'm stiff and aching.

I'm really angry with myself that I didn't see it coming, I was too caught up in keeping my momentum for an upcoming hill. I need to be more observant of what's happening on the pavement as well as the road. I can't count on everyone else being sensible and following the law.

I went out last week after dark & muppets done similar to a 4x4 turning out of the hotel here. Give the driver his due he wasn't going fast and when he saw them at the last minute was able came to a stop and didn't move again until they were clear shielding the muppets with his vehicle.

I was turning right into Shirley High St, Southampton and saw two ninja's , no lights, no brakes, black clothing at 6:20pm. They rode past the police station without a care.

Driving home yesterday, I stop at some traffic lights with a car in front of me, car in front sets off just then cyclist knob comes out from a side road on the other side of the road without looking, no hands on the handlebars diagonally across the traffic lights straight in front of the car in front of me as it is setting off. He then cycles off down the road no handed, I pulled up along side him to let him know what I thought but it was a waste of time as no one was home.

This time last year, heading into work at 06:30 in about 2 ft snow, i was coming off a roundbout in the car tyre tracks and I just saw a cyclist heading off this junction toward the roundabout. Dark clothing, no hi-visor lights and he decides to cut across in front of me and jump the kerb, or where he thought it was - at that point he wiped out, clipping the low garden wll and shot over onto the garden leving his bike on the path.
I tell you I nearly p*ssed my pants laughing at hi as I continued on mery verry merry wa thinking - "stupid tw*t.

Yesterday morning, ninja and white van stopped at traffic lights, ninja moves of and is nearly left hooked by the van who only indicates once he has started to move. Not sure who the bigger nob is, ninja or van man, but you can be sure who would come off worse!
