Prepare a way for the Lord

I need to box up my MTB and send it back to the supplier for them to inspect and repair/replace it. The only problem is I don't still have the original box. Any advise on the best way to prepare the bike to protect it from getting damaged during transit?
Thanks,
Shaun.

Go to another bike shop, get another cardboard box from them. Then...
Remove the rear mech and tape it inside the frame
Remove the pedals
turn the bars sideways
Cover the tubes in pipe lagging
Wrap any other sticky outy bits in bubblewrap.
Do you have to send the wheels? If not, don't bother, but remember to wedge something between the drop outs to stop the various bits bending out of shape.
Tape it up and write 'fragile' all over it.
