I watched this last night, Uh, I was crying, and I dont cry watching anything on the TV, I wouldnt advise watching it as it tells the story of those poor children that are suffering, of what was the part that really got me

Dr Javid Abdelmoneim is a real saint, as are all the people involved fihgting it, though as Dr Javid Abdelmoneim said 'if it was white people suffering something would be done, which is so true

I never realised it was so bad, I mean, seven days within infection and you could be dead

Yes, I know it's tragic, some of these children have lost their entire family. Let's hope they get it under control soon. I'm not that far away from it too!

Well come on then you tell me why. It's already been stated that poor hygiene has led to the spread of this ebola and that simple hygiene methods could've prevented its spread.

It's not just a question of Africa being discriminated against, they have to take some of the responsibility themselves. Many governments here are quite happy for the West to wade in and handle the crisis without doing much themselves. They have the money but are are unwilling to get involved, for whatever reason, and only lack the resources. Most people here enter politics to make money, not to further the common good or help people. Recently a female MP in Ghana who had just entered Parliament was quoted as saying she wanted to make a million dollars during her term. The remark was put down to her "inexperience".
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is the exception and is I believe fully committed to managing the crisis, but unfortunately for some unless the virus is at the door of the Presidential villa they don't really care.

More likely due to eating "bush meat". Bats and other animals carry the virus and many consider it a delicacy.
