This seems to be a good news story for a change, its about a Paralympian who recovered the use of their legs and is now set to be an Olympian

I read that too, how unlucky can you be to be involved in so many accidents?? The whole story is so inspirational, she is a tough cookie!

My thoughts were this person is incredibly lucky ... and a little accident prone.

... but the other good news (as you might have noticed on that video clip) is that she is being sponsored by the Rabobank pro cycling team, is in training and hopes that she might eventually be able to get fit enough to race at a high level on her conventional bike.

(I think she might have her saddle a bit high - it looks like her pelvis is rocking slightly as she pedals. I'm sure it will take a while for her to perfect her leg cycling technique after years as a hand cyclist.)

Ah yes - I came across that interview yesterday before the video clip was posted.

I think if I was her, the apparently random way that the paralysis came and went would always be a worry at the back of my mind in case it happened again! It would unnerve me that the doctors couldn't explain it ... I'd be especially worried about falling off my bike.

She will no doubt have it in the back of her mind, but having been without the use of her legs for so long I suppose the joy of walking and cycling will overcome that worry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
