Thank you for all your comments gents. This frame /bike was given to me by Dave Orford.Dave was the man who's idea for a stage race with a big sponsor gave birth to the milk race.He had used the bike for racing in the 50's and 60's.So it has loads of history.When Dave gave me the bike, less wheels it was in a bit of a sorry state.He had been using it as a touring and hack bike!One of the rear drop outs was cracked and the handle bar stem was frozen into the steerer tube.Mercians have done a first class job of the refurb,imo.I have all the period correct parts.It is now just the case of time the put it all together.
