Parking in Chester - Recommendations please.

I'll be going to Chester next Monday with the family and while I suspect we'll be there for a few hours we probably won't be thereall day.

I've been recommended the Linenhall Car Park off St Martins Way, (see pic), which ticks the boxes really but just wondered if anyone had any other options.

Note: Park and ride isn't an option.

That looks like the Linenhall car park which is £5 / day (from memory). There's no real free parking in Chester and £5 for a day is ~the going rate for open air car parks - as car parks go, its a car park ...
* If you're under 3 hours, you could use the Tesco car park which has a spend of £10 for that time.
* If you fancy a 10 minute walk, there is generally some free parking available on the outskirts of the city center

THe one I always use is Brook Street Car Park off the A56. It's generally quiet and is only a few minutes walk into the centre. There is also some spaces down by the river you can get to down Dee Lane off the A51 and down Souters Lane by the Roman Amphitheatre.

Thanks all. It looks like it's horses for courses, (no Roodee pun intended), so I'll just stick it on the Linenhall Street car park as planned
