Last night I went over to Sheffield to see Paul Rodgers at the city hall. It was a great gig, he got everyone on their feet for the last few numbers of his set and, to my pleasant surprise, it was mostly Free songs. He's got a great band with Jason Bonham on drums Howard Leese (ex Heart) on guitar and Lynn Sorenson on bass.
The only spoiler was the support act - Joe Elliot's Down n Outz who were a cliche riddled parody of a second rate pub-rock band with delusions of adequacy.
There's still tickets for sale for some of the remaining venues and I highly recommend that aficionados of quality music go to see Paul Rodgers. Just make sure that you arrive after the support act has left.
