had what , 4 diff jobs the in the 6 years... kept roughly the same amount , so 0% for that time 'pay rise', until last year, when we took a 15% pay cut to try to keep our jobs whilst 20% of staff were made redundant ( company just 18months old, so they got bugger all)..
then missed wages in the spring, twice... we're keeping on going.. and to be fair 75% of the missed wages has been paid back..
so it just *really* winds me up walking past some union members striking coz they're unhappy about a 2% pay rise or that their pensions might not be as good as they expected..
dont even get me started on stupid 'orphaned pension schemes' / 'private pensions' or 'endowment mortgages'

, i might as well have drunk all that money!!
haha lizban,, at the previous place where they went through 2 '90 day notice' escapades, we all decided that the initially PA girl who took on the HR job as well as office manager, ended up learning a really really good skill for the current climate,, she learnt how to get rid of staff without messing the law up !!! ( we were owned by americans who had no idea you couldnt actually just say 'right hes out, keep him'

)
