...what a difference having very little traffic due to school holidays makes. I did my 8.7 mile commute through SE London in just over 37 mins this morning. I have never managed a sub 40mins time before, ususally around 42 mins so am well pleased especially when I struggled to get out of bed this morning.

Nice one!!! always great to get a PB, I was secretly planning one today. But like a total kn*b head I took my laptop home with me on thursday so couldnt ride into work, but no kids so I dont need the car at home untill thursday so will ride home tonight and just leave the car at work.

Me too - 15.5 miles in just over an hour. That's some 20 minutes better than usual.

I imagine next week my commute will be busier..or at least the first few mile will be. Took me just under an hour here - I felt like I'd let myself down going slowly, till I saw i'd averaged over 16mph which is pretty good for first thing in the morning
If there isn't traffic slowing me down on the way home, hopefully I'll be able to average about 18/19mph again and get home in about 40 minutes. *finger's crossed*
Also, got a nice big thumbs up for a HGV driver today as I pulled in to let him past...otherwise he'd of been sitting behind me for about 4 miles. So that was nice!
