The date is set, the sunshine is booked, pump up your tyres and clip up your helmets!
Last year we saw a fabulous 900 cyclists take part in Pedal for The J’s 2013. 2014 will be the fifth year of the event and the challenge of taking part gives riders the choice of 15, 35 or 50 mile circular routes throughout the stunning Essex countryside.
If you are a novice rider, the 15 mile is ideal with a slightly bigger challenge of 35 miles or for more experienced riders the 50 mile ride is perfect. Registration is just £12 for adults and £7 for children.
This event is very much for families of all ages; last year the oldest participant was 83 and the youngest only 3 years old, who travelled the route with his pet dog - both in a cycle trailer pulled by his Dad!
Last year we raised an amazing £37,000 from the generosity of sponsorship, ensuring we can deliver the vital service across Essex to our patients and families. We are asking you to save the date, SIGN UP, get on your bike and Pedal for the J’s again to make a real difference to those we support. Please put SUNDAY 27th April 2014 in your diary today!
Cycles UK are supporting The J’s Hospice by providing a mechanic in the park enabling you to get pre ride checks done before you Pedal for the J’s.
