Pedals, advice please?

Hi

On my road bike, I'm still using the original plastic cheapo pedals that I ripped the toeclips off. They are small and don't have much grip (i.e. foot sometimes slips) so I'd like to upgrade.

I'm not going down the cleats route so just want a nice grippy, comfortable pedal (ideally in black ) for my evening and weekend recreational road riding that would accomodate my size 10's

Any recommendations?

Superb all-round flat pedals, if you really don't want to go clipless you will find DMR V8's hard to beat.

One thing to be aware of is that the pins that provide all the grip can also chew up the soles of your shoes, should the soles be of an incompatible type.

And do a job on your calves, if you foot does manage to slip off

Looks same as my Salt BMX. (exact same weight, colours)

The grip pins all seem to wear too quick. I think someone once mentioned they sawed a grove for grip, so I might try that at long last,

Useful advice all round, thanks.

I only wear cheapo trainers to ride with so not bothered about a wee bit damage to the soles. I am quite fond of my calves however so will be careful!
