Certainly not. 38 Degrees misrepresents the effect of the Bill and their opposition is partly self-interest - many of their own campaigns are political and well outside what most of us would think of as 'charitable'.

38Degrees are not the only ones complaining though - many other charities feel it will limit their own campaigning. Most campaigning is political to some degree.

Political campaigning should not have the tax advantages (aka subsidy from the rest of us) that go with charitable status.
