Picture Box (kids programme)

From my very dim and distant childhood..."Picture Box".
I remember this hypnotic revolving glass box, but no idea what the programme was about!

I remember watching this as a schools programme when I was at primary school in the late 70s. I think it had a different topic every week, bit like 'how its made' on discovery. It was presented by a grey haired chap who's name completely escapes me.

Same here, in one of our lessons, but I was sure it was 68/69 ish? Im probably wrong though.

It first ran from '66, so you're right.

It was Alan Rothwell who presented it.

It's called "Manège" and is performed by " Structures Sonores Lasry-Bachet".

love this music... it's almost scary, but not quite
