Note: This thread is specifically for photos of stuff before you ate or drank it.

1) Cockles, The Shell Shop, Folkestone

A seagull ate some of them while I went to get vinegar.

2) Coffee and Panini, Broadstairs. She fancied me.

Keeping with the see food and eat it, here's the bloke preparing my oysters when I cycled to Whitstable earlier this year

I went through Whitstable too, but I didn't photograph my food. It was a fish pie at the hotel, it wasn't that good but it was big and I was dead hungry.

Love oysters though.

After we'd tackled the Pont St Nazaire on tour this summer, we stopped for our usual coffee and pastries, and instead of a plain old croissant, I opted for an eclair...

I did a very cold, wet ride last November with Alun and colly. We ended up thawing out at Coldwell Activity Centre cafe where we warmed up with the home-made lentil soup...

... which prepared us nicely for the sandwiches + salad!

There's a cycle track to morecambe which is to be avoided in the summer months due a mouthful of midgies every 30 yards! Even if i keep my mouth firmly shut they still get in yer eyes and up yer snout :headshake:

Sorry, no pic

After the Big G sportive we were promised food, and by gum we got it:

Later that weekend, Admin and Soltydog discussed serious cycling issues, including nutrition:

I used a train on my tour this summer betwen Austria and the Czech Republic, after crossing the border the train stopped at the first station in the Czech Republic. The Austrian train crew got off as a Cz crew took over and the Cz guard told me to take my bike off the train as it could not be carried any further. After some discussion on the platform between the train crews I was told my bicycle could be carried, but this was as a special favour of the dining car crew. I could put my bike back on the train, but in the dining car this time, and I would be expected to consume food and drink purchased from the dining car. As the train approached Prague I settled my bill for the food and drink and thought it not unreasonable to include a tip for the cycle carriage. On returning to my seat I realised an extra beer had been added to the bill, just in case I hadn't tipped, I suppose.
Anyway, that explains the bike in the dining car picture from my 2010 tour.
