Nice story from the Telegraph about pigs in the Bahamas - looks like they're having a great time going hog wild!!

The traditional name for the island that sits across the harbour from the capital Nassau, is Pig Island. When all the huge mega-resorts were built there, the PR department thought it best if this was changed to Paradise Island.

I always enjoy correcting the stuck up sorts who gloat about their winter sun breaks 'in Paradise'.

That is so wrong!

Arch FFS? Are you going to derind them then? Otherwise we will be all picking hair out of our teeth.

Does anyone else drive past Stonehenge on the A303 each day? There is a huge field full of very large pigs in the field just opposite the stones. It is the highlight of my boring drive to work and I often wonder what the pigs will be doing.
They are either in their houses, out in the sun sitting around, feeding, wandering round or all sorts of things. One got out once into the next field and the farmer was trying to push it back home. I give the family a pig update each day.

They stay in groups of about 15 (there are about 200 in the filed) and when the tractor comes along with the food it drops it off a trailer for each group and moves along to the next group- but the ones who have not been fed dont push in and nick the food from the first lot.
They are more civilised than the drivers on the 303.

You scald the carcase with boiling water which makes the hair loose, and then scrape it off. The skin of course, is crackling.

What? Pigs is pigs and it is their noble calling in life to provide us with bacon, ham, sausage etc. As long as they've had a good life. I reckon living on a beach is as good as it gets...

Not every day but quite often. They really have top class accommodation there.

I've always liked pigs, generally friendly beasts at close quarters. Bit big if they took a dislike to you, or knew what you'd like to do to them, though.

Comparing pigs to 95% of the drivers on the A303 is an insult to the pigs.
