Why is your 2010 mileage target 3600 when there are 365 days in the year?

I think you should accept (in the words of some manager types) a "stretch" target of 3650 miles. Then you can go around bragging about 10 miles per day for the whole year

OK I'll 'stretch' it just for you

was a nice round figure of 300 miles per month,ahead of target anyway so should make 3650

Now that I've hooked (?) you on targets how about:-
2011 - 11x365
2012 - 12x366
2013 - 13x365
etc etc ad infinitum (as is said sometimes)

Initial target seemed quite tough but now I'll make it fairly comfortably,barring an early winter freeze.
Was going for 4000 next year,with hopefully more long rides thrown in,have only done 2 this year,90% of my mileage is commuting.
Last year I stopped mid December and didn't get going again til mid January
