Duck! The ping's coming around again!

A ping is normally an 'out and back'. If it has no destination, does it just travel around until the end of time? There's probably millions of destinationless pings out there. Sad really. I think we should have a charity ride. The 'Ride for Pings' we could call it. And as befits, it should have no destination.
