Hi all. I’m just planning the next tour that will commence Next May. The main destination now being Singapore, and maybe continue around to Oz. For now I am looking for input from members on places to visit and general ideas and comments for just the European leg.
The plan had been France, Switzerland then Italy, but having previously crossed France four times decided to take an alternative route; Holland, Germany, Austria and then Switzerland and Italy. Having snowboarded in Austria for the past 12 years would love to cycle through it, and recently bought Cicerone’s ‘Cycle touring in Switzerland’ book look forward to that country, there are also people I met in D.R.C who live there that I’d like to see again.
Having worked as an engineer and visited many vehicle and electronics manufacturers [and suppliers] thought I could use that interest on the tour. My Rohloff hub should be serviced now and plan to have it done as I’m passing through Germany, and hopefully have a gander around their factory, and then, passing through Switzerland possibly visit the Victorinox manufacturer (Swiss army knife), both of whom are presently looking at possible sponsorship.
So any ideas are welcome.
