And?....

How did you like it?

PS that looks like a mustard seed garnish rather than poppy seed.

It was mustard seed, must've misread the recipe. Anyway I though it was excellent, definitely do this one or one of the similar ones again. Mrs McGinty liked it too but, as usual, thought it a bit spicy. I cooked it early and it looked like it might be a bit soggy but the pastry crisped up lovely when reheated.

All round pietastic!!!

Next time round skip the chilli flakes and substitute a level tablespoonful of coarse ground black pepper. The pie will have a much milder and more agreeable 'bite' for those with a more delicate palate.

I can also recommend this recipe: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1511718/bombay-potato-and-spinach-pies

Ahhh that was actually the one I made!

I thought that it looked a little thin and the potato a bit 'lumpy'. Now try the Indian potato pie - you won't regret it. My colleagues are divided in their opinions half prefer the Indian Potato pie and half prefer the Spinach and Potato pie. I prefer the Indian potato pie but only just mind you.
