Pop Up Question

I keep getting a little pop up window in the bottom right hand corner asking ' Windows-Media-Player (IP:192.168......Do you want this device to use My Computer's Shared folder'

I click no but what does it mean please?

I'd take a guess that it's another PC on the network looking for shared folders to use in media player. I've never actually used it but I know I have media player links to every other PC on the network under 'my computer'. The IP 192.168.x.x will be a local IP, presumably from the other windows machine or maybe from your PC if its actually asking about sharing. There's probably some options in media player about network sharing, but its way too bloated to keep up with it anymore.

Ok thanks, I keep thinking it's the neighbours trying to get into my system as it's my home laptop, although I remember clicking on a Samsung network thing about sharung recently but not sure what it was.

Make sure your wifi router(if you have wifi) is secure and passworded to keep neighbours off your network and you should be fine, unless you live next to spies from Chinese government
