Anyone got any recommendations for a large diameter high volume floor fan which can be turned down to a very low level? I'm looking for something that can do a good impression of a hurricane for turbo trainer duty but also be turned down to very low rpm for airflow assistance in our living room.

I did have cheap & cheerful a variable speed floor fan which was great but the motor has burnt out & no one seems to do anything similar :cursing:

yes, but I can't tell you what make or model it is at present because #1 son has taken it to use in his shop in London. SWMBO is LIVID!:cursing:

:cursing: x2

It's bad enough for something to simply give up.. to have a serviceable item be pilfered... we could organise a pincer movement, you from the South west, me from the North East... he'll not escape I tell you :laugh:

The wonders of SMS...

ours is a prem-i-air 18" 3 speed floor standing 'air circulator'. Silent it ain't but SWMBO sleeps soundly when it is running, and it shifts a HUGE amount of air.
