With Eddy Merckx' birthday soon, I thought I'd treat myself to this Molteni jersey that I've been hankering after for far too long.
A quick call to Prendas for some sizing advice and I placed my order just before noon yesterday, so you can believe I was very impressed to have it delivered this morning!
The jersey is top quality and the fit is spot on; nice touches such as a 3/4 length concealed zip at the front and a fourth zipped and waterproof pocket to the rear.
But best of all was the matching Molteni cap they sent me:free of charge!
They are listed as out of stock on the website, so I included a note with my order asking when they would have some more. Their note explained that they weren't happy with the colours and were waiting for replacements, but I could have a faulty one to be going on with.
OK it's a second, but it's a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated.
It's this sort of service that keeps me spending my money with small, independent businesses like Prendas and not the likes of Wiggle and Chain Reaction.
