My tip for wrapping presents is to keep a Lullabelle in the house. She wraps them all

Edit: and a magnificent job she does too.

Lately I've been opting for gift bags because I cant be faffed with wrapping. I used to buy rolls of paper -cheaper than sheets - for birthdays etc, but after they've been used once they get lost/squished/used by small children with scissors :cursing:
For Christmas it's too expensive to buy individual bags so I'll have to fight on with the paper.
One year I made an extra effort with gifts for friends and family, using white tissue paper and silver ribbon. For a couple of the girl's gifts I added a little angel hair bobble instead of a gift tag, and for the little children I stuck on chocolate coins and candy canes. I didn't get a single word of thanks or acknowledgement of the effort so I haven't bothered again.

I saw a video online recently showing how to make your own simple gift bag - a few folds, and some sticky tape. If I can ever find the link again....

This isn't the video I saw, but it's the same principle:

The one I saw used wrapping paper doubled up. You started with a piece double the height of the bag you want, fold it in half, then wrapped it round and tucked one end inside the other, and then followed the process in that video to make the base, with the fold at the top and the two edges worked into the fold at the base - that way, you get the pattern inside and out, and use thinner paper, but give it double strength.

Thanks Arch, I did a craft class a few years ago and I do actually know how to do that, and how to make little boxes too.
I'm just very disorganised and lazy.
