Nolo

For a couple of ex-batts on their first day out of the battery they are actually in very good condition. Certainly better than Anode & Cathode were on their first day.

Nolo appears to still have the switch on top of her head.

Yes, I still have the other ones. So I now have four ex-batts. They are primarily pets, eggs a delicious bonus, no, not for the pot. When you get an ex-batt from a rescue organisation it's the deal that you give the hens a home for the rest of their natural born.

I am so jealous, I would love to rescue some hens, as I have said in a previous post. Our title deeds definately don't allow us to keep them though

Ta, but I am thinking of renaming Nolo to 'Jordan' as she likes showing off her chesticles

Life is remarkably quiet in the hen department, which is good. There was a little bit of beaks drawn at twenty paces last night between Cathode & Campag, but as they are separated by weld mesh, no damage done. Not surprised it was Cathode, though, as between her & Anode, she's bottom hen. With newbies arriving, Cathode has her chance to move up any new pecking order. Campag is feisty too. A bit later she went for Anode. Anode just fluffed up her feathers until she was twice her normal size so Campag backed off. This preliminary sorting out of the new pecking order will be finally sorted once all the girls are in together.

Excellent ,

Is Campag pronounced with a hard or soft "g"?

Very good to see you back on here as well

I take it we can rename the Tea? thread to Eggs?

They look in very good shape, the new chooks. I hope they sort out the pecking order soon.
Just beak-ause...
