Sums it up really.

Darn right, we can't have any "ordinary" people getting tickets to a sought after event, perish the thought.
I am sure the vendors have an approved lists of whom you can sell to going by the few decent ones that actually went to the people of the UK.

The level of pandering to big business in the London 2012 games is just off the scale. Whole roads closed to anyone other than sponsors and dignitaries, no go area's ofLondon for everyone other than security staff, more than 2/3rds of tickets gone to sponsors and other corp interests. I think most people have now realised the best way to watch the olympics is on TV.

It's just plain crazy. I'm sure if you wanted to sell your ticket to a friend or relative and asked LECOG, I bet there would be an "administration" fee. Any excuse to make money off the public, who have already paid through the nose for this event.

First it was the "millenium" then it was the "olympics" what will be the next reason to divert the lottery funds that were meant to go to good causes? There has to be a next one , otherwise people might start asking questions about why the good causes aren't getting the money promised.

It's crazy, it really is, but at least it may ensure fewer people get rich having snared loads of tickets legitimately with the sole intention of selling them on again.

Wow, that is crazy.

I dont really understand, but if its illegal does that mean theyve made a law with a £20k fine just for the olympics or is it just a company being threatening?

Like caimg said, at least it might help curb the touts that plague every big ticketed event a bit.
