38mm - hardly 'deep section'.

And what are they anyway ?
Are they carbon rims with an aluminium braking surface bonded on ?
I suspect not, more likely they'll be aluminium rims with a carbon fairing stuck on them ? They'll probably weigh a ton.

Or maybe just aluminium rims with a 'carbon wrap', like these appear to be

There's so much room for ambiguity in that advert. Is it a wheelset (as in 2 wheels)? It probably is, but why not just clearly state it's for a pair?

I know, you're right walker. It's just that when you're spending that much, it doesn't hurt to be clear. For one thing, there's only a picture of one wheel. The second advert you posted is made much clearer by the seller, in both imagery and description.

I was very keen on the Spinergys until I worked out the true cost including import duty and vat.
The second set are tubular wheels, I really want clinchers.

Nice try though.

I have near enough decided upon the planet-x clinchers. Just got to wait for pay day.
