One of my regular cycling group turned up with a shiny new Cannondale hybrid.
A brief inspection at the coffee stop revealed the rear quick release had been locked 'backwards' - the lever was curved outwards.
I thought about putting it right, but the lever was very tight, so tight I thought I might snap it.
The bike is due its first service shortly, so we decided to leave it to the retailer.
I'm guessing the installation was safe - we'd done 20 miles by the time I saw it.
But what a poor show from what is supposed to be a proper bike shop.
