I think we've done this one before. As I pointed out then, the woman cyclist who got killed by a lorry near here recently (there was a long thread on it) was taking a route that runs parallel to that canal. I've never seen a single lorry on the canal. Honest.

I was rather taken aback when I cycled up there (on my way to Islington) a couple of weeks ago and gad to divert down a scary road!
Slight correction to my initial post. They've finished the bit they were doing and moved on a bit by the looks. The good news is though that the diversion only involves going through the park rather than on Viccy Park road which sucks badly.
