Sports Injury Clinic (if you need recommendations in the area I can get a few for you).

I like Areej at the Armitage Centre, she sorted my knee issues out no bother, she is a cyclist too, you can give them a ring on 07500 848796, ask for Areej, although there is another physio there, a guy called Minas, but never had treatment from him so can not recommend but a club mate really rates another physio who he recommends to a lot of people (could ask for details if you want, might see him at the social tomorrow). If they need to, they can refer you for scans or to see a specialist etc.

+1 for Rob3rt's comments. None of us are qualified to diagnose your problem or a solution on a forum, see a physio. It might not be that bad and a bit of the right tlc could sort you out fairly quickly.

I'd give it a couple of days, if no improvement then best bet is physio, but it would be private. NHS takes 4 months.

Armitage Centre physio's are a good rate ££. I can also recommend 'The Clinic' at MMU's Health Faculty. They did quite alot of work on my back and shoulder.

Free? Can not beat that rate! I was very grateful for 3-4 sessions including ultrasound massage on my knee and sports massage on my thigh (after pulling a muscle doing the exercises prescribed for my knee, lol) free of charge as a favour!

Yes was kidding, I did a lot of volunteer work on a running event so the uni sports office called in a favour for me when I injured my knee. I wouldn't hesitate to pay for the service they provided though. They have in the past advertised via groupon too.
