Riding back thru' the park, and fortunately I'd already slowed right down to avoid spooking a child as I went by, and suddenly a small white dog just appeared out of nowhere - which is to say, out of a shadowy hedge - and ran directly in front of my front wheel. Before I knew it, my back wheel was in mid-air: I'd grabbed my one brake - the front one - as hard as I could, purely by instinct, as I saw the flash of white. Stopped pretty much instantly, missing the hound by a whisker. It's the most exciting thing that's happened to me all year!

You're living on the edge, man!

I stood up too quickly earlier and I felt all dizzy. Quite enough excitement for me, I can tell you.

Not had a KitKat since the 30th April 1989.

Probably for the best, it's not for nothing that they're known as The World's Second Most Exciting Biscuit™

I claimed my first 'scalp' today on the tricycle, guy in his 40s on an MTB, soft tyres and seat far too low (crapping dog position) and I just sailed past serenely, wearing a rucksack with my crutches sticking up like beetle antennae. :cycle::giggle:
PMSL 'scrapping dog position'
Got 2 dogs who assume that position quite a lot, not going to be able to watch them now without imagining this bloke on a bike...
