Person A is tasked On Friday with a job by person B, and person A accepts the job. Person B gives person A items needed on the job.

The job is to take place on Sunday night - tonight.

Person B then changes the arrangement and gives the job to person C, but person A still has the items - the job was an out of hours job collecting / delivering a package and the items.

Person A confirms they are no longer doing the job, but clearly reminds person B that they still have the items person C will now need.

Person B acknowledges this, "shoot, I forgot about them, I'll see what person C says and get back to you"

It is now Sunday night and person B has not re-arranged the collection of the items for the job.

Whose responsibility is it to re-arrange the collection of the items?

The easy way out is simply to stick a card through the door saying 'a delivery was attempted at hh:mm today but there was no one in' please leave 24 hours before trying to get your stuff from B. Make sure they don't hear the card being put through the door.
