My wife is a big fan of authentic Eastern food - i.e. Chinese/Malaysian.... but not from a 'take away'......... long story, she has been to HK a fair amount.....I have a wicked Thai Green Curry recipe........!

She struggles with Indian food, mainly because no one tells you what to go for..... - too hot......... me I give it a go.......

She is on a girls night out at a really good Indian near us next week... (she does not like too hot food) what do you lot think is a good match - i.e. LOVES Malaysian.....

I recommended Jalfrazi..????...

I'm confused, man. How can she get Malaysian food in an Indian restaurant?

Depends on the restaurant - I am a big fan of Dopiaza and Jalfrezi and find that both of these can vary in heat, from a medium hot to sub Madras intensity.

Mrs BH: can I try a bit of yours?
Me: Sure, but its a bit of hot one
Mrs BH: ......
Mrs BH: Holy F***!, why didn't you tell me it was that hot?

[Addendum - if Mrs F knows the name of the restaurant, might be worth scoping out the menu before hand and seeing if there are any Chefs Specials that are outside the normal run of Bhuna, Biriyani, etc etc]
