I have a question for the wizards who practice the black art of electrickery.

I am after a bespoke battery powered countdown clock, but rather than an audible alarm on it I would like an LED traffic light system.

We have a situation at the music house acoustic sessions where a musician will stop playing and ask how much longer they have got for their set ..... and because of this heckling from audianceit is becoming a bit too regular.

It was suggested that a programmable countdown clock would fit the bill, but an alarm would be too much of a distraction, so I suggested a traffic light system.

So our required spec is:

Maximum of three buttons:

On/Off

Scroll up minute programme from 1 through 59 minutes

Countdown Start/ Stop .

Powered by 2 AA batteries with red digital numerals.

Programmable from 59 minutes down to 5 minute with a Constant green LED.

From 5 minutes down to zero slow flashing Amber LED; about once every 5 seconds

Zero Constant Red LED.

Does anyone know where I could get such a thing, or have it made?

Something you could do, for free, is to use a laptop/smartphone/etc. And write a small javascript program to do this.

A Siemens LOGO programmable controller would do this with ease
It has to be programmed
The supply would have to be 24v AC.
This could be fitted into a small enclosure with external panel facia lamps
Does it have to be portable or can it plugged into a 13amp wall socket

To design, develope and manufacture a piece of bespoke electronics would cost a lot of money. The cost of the product would be peanuts in comparison.
The cheaper option is to put together off the shelf products to do the job that you want.
The LOGO gives you that flexibility and of course Siemens reliability

I do this for a living but on a bigger scale
