There's anew mini-series coming up on BBC starting tomorrow

The titular 'Racing Legends'

The first episode has Patrick (Captain Picard) Stewart meeting Stirling Moss, and driving a Mercedes 'Gull-Wing' with him.
Patrick also gets to drive a 1950's Formula 1 car, like Moss drove before his retirement

The other programme has some TV chef meeting Jackie Stewart.

BUT, it' s the other of the trio that will be interesting, as it has Chris Hoy talking about Colin McRae!!!!!

Somehow, it seems that they managed to shoehorn his thighs into the seat of an ex-ProDrive Impreza!!!!

My first thought was Lester Piggott as a racing legend.

Careful with that axle Eugene
In a non-cycling field, my motor racing/rallying heroes are Jim Clark, Pedro Rodriguez, Jacky Ickx, Roger Clark and a 1970's/80's Special Saloon campaigner by the name of Alastair Lyall. All of 'em terrifying to watch when it rained, so close to the edge without actually falling off!
