I met an American couple on the Costa Blanca in 2007 and they were telling me about their local ride - RAMROD. I liked the sound of that one and would definitely have a go at that if I was ever going over there at that time of year and could get an entry.
PS I don't think it is likely that I will be able to afford a US cycling trip in the near future, so it is unlikely that I will be doing RAAM, RAMROD or RAGBRAI for a while yet!
