Unusually dry this morning. This has been the worst summer since I started cycling. I feel sorry for anyone who took up cycling this summer!

Was bouncing it down this morning in Sheffield. Hopefully clothes will have dried before I have to go home!! Still raining now and the forecast is for it to carry on all day

Wet in Manchester - Gazzaputt no chickening out - that's the start of the long spiral down if you do that !

Got in pretty dry with all my wet gear on - shoes fine too...was a bit boil in the bag though..... With the temperature, my specs were steaming up constantly

Just passed the 1000 mile mark this morning in Sunny Blackpool - actually I tell a lie, I was like a drowned rat when I got into work, but still smiling at the achievement. At least I've got a shower and somewhere to dry my stuff.

Makes it all the more fun getting soaked on the way home.

I wish I'd cycled in now. When I woke up the rain was thundering down outside - haven't heard rain like that in a long time, and I just thought, "nah".

But now it's sunny....

Hello - Another newbie here.
I got peed on in east yorks this morning, horrible it was! Made me glad that I've got mudguards added onto the new bike that'll be here soon. I was thinking I was a bit soft adding them, but 12 miles in my shorts were dripping, and not feeling very comfortable!

I've had a fair few comments today along the lines of "You didn't ride in today did you?"
I never even considered leaving the bike at home. Turns out the heat from computer base units dries out gear pretty quickly!

Had a couple of those comments too this morning, I quite like the fact that people think I'm a bit mad.

At least the weather has changed - well stopped raining anyway so I won't get a double soaking.

It would appear that the boiler room isn't as good at drying kit as computer base units, my trainers are absolutely sodden!
