Raleigh (26 tpi ?) thread die needed for fork stem

I need to cut more thread on a 1960s Raleigh Industries fork stem tube, so that I can shorten it to fit a smaller-framed bike --- does anybody know of a die tool for loan or hire, or an old-fashioned bike shop that can do the job? To buy one new would be very expensive I think... I'm located in mid-Sussex

The only people who will have that tool will be a framebuilder. Start yoru search there.

Problem is now solved --- sorting through my "stock" of used forks I found a pair (26 tpi) with more thread cut onto the tube, so they can be trimmed to length and will fit straight in!
