Cheap n cheerful pub bike or complete sack 'o...well you know. Thought it could stand in for my' I'd be gutted to loose it' old Scott Voltage when frequenting the local.

Not one for the bike snobs I know, but the Max Cromo's I borrowed were both a sound and, under rated ride and, that's coming from a from die hard Marin, Scott and Klein rider but, don't remember this model in the Raleigh range?

I think it reads Max Aero, runs Suntour SR forks and it's super clean, up on it's toes and all of 40 quid. Nothing much on the Web, can anyone shed a light?

Cheers guys

Nice. I think it came from the late (?) Eighties when oversize tubing was fashionable. It's steel so weight increased as a consequence. Long angled stem looks weird now.
Good solid bikes. Enjoy.

A bit later than that 1998-200ish.

It will be fine. A bit heavy, but who cares? I'd rather have one with no suspension myself. That fork is not a quality item, and the elastomers are probably rock solid by now.
