Rastafarians on One Wheeled BMXs

Was in Manchester buying a suit today when a Rastafarian cycled past. Nothing strange about that you may say, but this guy was riding a bmx with no front wheel. In fact the fork had been cut about three inches from the head tube. Well what is stranger than a Rastafarian riding a one wheeled bike? Well two I suppose, so I was even more surprised when the second guy rode by. My seven year old daughter thought it was great. Strange the things you see sometimes.

generally when you see someone on a one wheeled bike it means it was locked by only the front wheel!

Bet they've come from the bike shop on the Parkway near Hulme !! It's a Jamacan run bike shop - they don't stock even tubes for road bikes, but all the local kids go in for repairs.

Maximum respect to those riders. Round here, there are a band of multi-taskers who can weave randomly down the wrong side of the road, one hand pressing a phone to their ear, and the other skillfully rolling a spliff. It's impressive.
