I have one of these. Now due to where it's place (on the seatpost) it tends to get wet and then it stops working. Does anyone have any idea how to make it more water resistant?

Don't go out when it's wet?
Fit mudguards?

Or bit of silicone around the seal, reapplied when you change batteries

vaseline on the seal
squirt of WD on the innards
store in a warm dry place when not in use
turn or two of insulating tape around the join

these are all good things.

If your seat rails allow for it, mount your light on there: it works on a Brooks, but you will need to shim your mounts with old inner tube or similar.

Of course, if you're a bit OCD about such things, just one looks unbalanced so you will want another for the symmetry, which is no bad thing.

Thanks for all the ideas. I'll try the vaseline and insulating tape. I can't use the seat rails because there'll be a saddlebag there (with another light mounted on that which should be dry!)

Someone on here recommended silicone grease and its been very good for all my lights.

Silicone grease works well for me.
The cateye lights i use seem pretty watertight i have to say
