Rebuild or split and sell?

Not sure if this technically comes under this thread but seemed the best fit. I have an old BMC alloy bike in good nick. It has a 10 speed campag record groupset on it which is also still in a good 8/10 condition. I have various spare components which I could use to return it to a complete bike. My aim is to sell it on but I am not sure whether it is worth rebuilding it and selling as a complete bike or just breaking it down and selling the component parts? I suspect the groupset sold separately may command a similar price to the actual bike, as I suspect any buyer would just see the bike and not place that much emphasis on the groupset, whereas a campag enthusiast might well be interested in a complete 10 speed group.

What would you do?

A bike's always worth more as parts, rather than the whole. Whilst I don't like splitting bikes up if I have to then I do.

You could advertise the whole bike first and see what happens?

Depending on what other bikes you have in your collection, I'd evaluate whether to keep it as a dedicated turbo trainer bike, commuter, winter or pootle bike... Or a combination of these things!

Perhaps post a few pictures on here, might get a reasonable offer, if selling on Ebay be perpaired to post or you may only have a few offers.

I did think to post it and see if there was any interest.
I do have another record group, and an 11 speed chorus, otherwise I would keep hold of it!
