Hi all, Just dug my oldish hybrid out of the shed, planning to get it up and running again for the winter commutes. The problem is the rear 'axle'? snapped when setting of from traffic lights uphill. The bearings rolled away so its basically just an empty hub now. Is this an easy enough fix, or is it not worth the hassle and i should just buy a new wheel. http://www.evanscycles.com/products/globe/vienna-1-2010-hybrid-bike-ec019552 this is the bike. Thanks

Pop into any half-decent bike shop with the wheel and they should be able to supply and fit a quick release axle and new bearings with no problems. Take the old axle bits with you as the bearing cones will be needed to fit onto the new axle. Even if you don't have the cones they should still be able to sort something but it will be better with the originals.
